We’ll start easy here. Where are you from? Where do you live?

Born and raised in Oahu, Hawaii, but moved to Los Angeles, California when I was 16 years old.

Where are you in school? What are you studying?

I’m intending to major in business administration at UC Berkeley.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to take pictures. I’m especially interested in film photography right now, and just invested in a Fujifilm camera that can do film simulations, so I’m very excited to use it! Alongside photography, I’m continuing to grow my small business. I love the “monotonous” tasks that come with my business (e.g. sourcing items, packaging, creating posts)-- I find it relaxing and destressing.

What are you most excited to contribute to oakpool?

I’m excited about being able to bring up my ideas! Anytime anyone talks about a business problem, I always gravitate toward what I would do in their position, so I’m looking forward to being able to contribute to those conversations.

What are you most excited to learn about at oakpool?

I’m most excited about understanding the processes that go about at oakpool. How tasks are delegated, how to break down problems from clients and find solutions, etc. One of my main experiences in this field is through my eCommerce business, and I usually worked alone. Therefore, I’m interested in being able to understand how oakpool runs so successfully so that I can take this knowledge and apply it back to oakpool and my future endeavors!

What makes you optimistic about the future?

With rapid technological advancements, I’m optimistic about new companies disrupting the market and its industries. Seeing relatively “new” companies like Uber and Airbnb that add value to traditional markets like transportation and hospitality – I’m excited to see how the world can change in the future. For example, I already see industries like real estate entering into the metaverse, and in the future, I want to be able to jump on board these opportunities early on.
