Founder & CEO

Name: Tim DiPietro

Title/Current Company: Founder & CEO at StartSure

  • What do you do? How did you get to where you are today?

We simplify how startups and freelancers get insurance. After spending 15+ years in the insurance business, I discovered 2 universal truths: 1 everyone needs insurance, 2 nobody likes dealing with it. As such, I set out to create a company that combines expertise and technology to give companies the easiest way to get insurance custom-tailored to their unique business exposures and needs.

  • What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work? What are you passionate about?

Skiing is my biggest passion. I love the access that skiing gives me to see and experience some of the most beautiful places in the world while at the same time challenging me with terrain and conditions which create the most rewarding experiences. The fact that this can all be experienced and shared with friends and family, makes it truly unique.

  • When did you start working with the oakpool team?

We started working with oakpool about 6 months ago.

  • How would you describe working with the oakpool team? What do they help you with?

The team has been amazing and has instantly become an extension of our team.

  • What does “Sustainable Growth” mean to you?

To me it is what every early-stage company needs to figure out in order to bring their idea to life. You need to be calculated with your spend, and where it will be most effective at each stage of your company’s lifecycles.

  • One thing you would say to a colleague considering working with oakpool?

Solid.
